Iyengar.

Hatha-style yoga and 15 minutes of guided meditation. Each of us has a
place, within our mind, of perfect silence. Learn the secrets of
returning to the source of consciousness and experience for yourself
the deep peace and renewal of body and mind that come from meditation.
This is the perfect way to unwind from the week and prepare for a
rejuvenating weekend.
Dynamic Yoga
This style of practice links powerful breath with dynamic, flowing
movements. Often referred to as meditation in motion, Dynamic
Yoga cultivates strength, endurance, flexibility, balance, focus,
serenity. This challenging Hatha practice will transform you from the
inside out. Get ready to take your practice seriously but
yourself lightly as you explore your edge, discover your strength and
awaken your spirit.
Hatha Yoga
Hatha yoga utilizes the practice of asanas (postures) and pranayama
(conscious breathing) to enhance health and vitality and to bring about
balance in one’s life. Hatha yoga can be a springboard to deeper and
higher states of awareness. Through the practice of asanas and
pranayama, along with inner focus, you begin to experience a freedom
that may permeate all aspects of your lives.
All hatha yoga classes emphasize correct posture and alignment and
build strength, flexibility and concentration. Many of our
teachers study and practice different styles of yoga including Kripalu,
Scaravelli, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Iyengar, Integral Yoga Therapy and more.
Some teachers teach the traditions in their pure form; others draw from
their training in a combination of the traditions, which is simply
referred to as “hatha style”, multi-style” or “eclectic”.
Scaravelli
This style is based on the teaching of Vanda Scaravelli who was a
student of BKS Iyengar. Scaravelli developed a gentle fluid approach to
yoga that focuses on the spine, the ground and the breath and teaches
one’s body to use asanas rather than the other way around.
Power Lunch
Start your week with a boost of power! In just 60 minutes of
intense Vinyasa flow, you’re sure to be transformed from the inside
out. Using the energy of tapas, a Sanskrit teaching, meaning
“heat” or “fire”, you’ll discover your potential for courage, strength,
passion, and vibrancy. Your body, mind, and spirit will be purified to
reveal the true beauty within.
Power Vinyasa Yoga
Vinyasa is a dynamic, vigorous and flowing blend of poses. It is the
synchronization of breath with movement, and in vinyasa classes
postures are linked together in a continuous and challenging flow.
Vinyasa is more than a simple set of physical maneuvers; the flow of
the practice with the breath bring together the internal and the
external. The practice engages prana, or energy found within your
breath, and leaves you feeling energized and more connected with your
Higher Self.
The many benefits of this style include strength, detoxification,
mental and physical balance, flexibility, and stamina. Ultimately, your
yoga practice can create feelings of peace and harmony. Every class
will be a different sequencing of asanas, but you can be sure it will
be challenging, sweat-inducing and include a little bit of laughter.
Special Series/Workshops*:
Restorative Yoga
Referred to as "The Bubble Bath of Yoga". This restirative form of
yoga helps to relieve the effects of chronic stress by supporting the
body with props. The use of props provides a completely supportive
environment, thus allowing the body to fully relax into the Hatha Yoga
postures.
